Why automotive

I’ve been a car enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been interested in China for years. Seeing those two interests increasingly come together as Chinese EV brands expand in Europe is what makes the industry especially interesting to me.

Those interests led me to build my EV comparison and automotive-news projects. My interest in China extends beyond cars and is one reason I’ve been learning Mandarin.

About me

Outside my projects, I spend quite a bit of time in the gym or running. I enjoy travelling, cooking, getting absorbed in a good book and spending time with friends. Meditation has become part of my daily routine and is something I value.

My interest in China goes beyond the automotive industry. I’ve been learning Mandarin for some time and want to keep developing it. I enjoy following technology too, and regularly listen to Satoshi Radio, The AI Report and Turing Station, partly to stay informed, but mostly because I find the subjects interesting.

My BSc thesis

For my BSc thesis, I reviewed research on how organisations implement AI and blockchain. The literature suggested that combining them can add complexity without necessarily creating value. What I took from it was the importance of staying critical without becoming closed to innovation: keep watching, learning and reassessing as technologies develop.

Organizational Implementation Challenges of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain

Research question
What organisational implementation challenges are reported for AI and blockchain, and what does the literature show about their interaction or complementarity?
Method & scope
Systematic literature review using Scopus, searched in December 2025, with manual thematic coding of English-language journal articles and reviews published from 2000–2025.
Defensible conclusion
The reviewed literature provides limited evidence of strong organisational complementarity. Governance, accountability and integration readiness condition how the technologies can work together.
Business relevance
Joint adoption should start with the organisational problem and mechanisms needed to solve it, rather than assuming that combining two technologies creates value.
Read assessment & research limits

The supplied assessment records 7.0. The first examiner praised the documentation of analysis:

“The screening, selection, and coding of articles was well-documented, demonstrating a thoughtful analysis approach.”

Leighann Eileithyia Kimble · First examiner
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam · February 2026

The assessment also identified room for clearer research-gap development and stronger justification of the review method; theoretical innovation was limited. This is academic feedback on an organisational literature study, not a professional endorsement or a technical system evaluation.

One database, a single reviewer and inconsistencies in the reported screening counts limit the review. The synthesis does not establish causal benefits from joint adoption.

Original university context

Original Bank Marketing
assignment

This project originated from a Business Intelligence & Analytics team assignment at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on re-contact strategy.

My documented role was Statistical Analysis Lead, contributing to data cleaning, statistical analysis and interpretation. The original team submission received 9/10.

The version shown in this portfolio is a later adaptation in which I reframed the analysis around contact capacity and customer prioritisation.
